NEW “MOMMY & ME” DEVOTIONAL FOR BUSY FAMILIES

Interactive Activity Prayer Book For Busiest of Moms is Winner of the 2025 Devotional of the Year!

Five minutes a day captures magic of childhood & fosters love-filled connection

[SACRAMENTO, CA, September 2025] Multi-published author Bitsy Kemper has created a new kind of devotional journal for even the busiest of moms. Mommy and Me Micro-Moments: Nurturing Faith, Sharing Laughs lets moms dedicate just five meaningful minutes a day with their little ones, and end up with a time capsule to cherish.

Kemper says she wishes a book like this was written not only when her kids were smaller, but when she herself was young, as she lost her mom and all the memories of their time spent together. She was the youngest of five kids born within five years, and Kemper’s mom died when she was 2 (and her siblings were 4, 5, 6, and 7). “With her illness, I honestly don’t know if we had specific ‘mommy and me’ time,” she says. “I was too young to remember, and amid all the chaos, nothing was documented. What I wouldn’t do to have had a book that dedicated five minutes a day with her, and a time capsule like this to look back on. ”

Bitsy Kemper is an award-winning author of 19 children’s books, with two more on the way. She has been on CNN, CBS This Morning, national radio, and in hundreds of newspapers and magazines across the country. Previously a corporate marketing manager, then a syndicated newspaper columnist, she has enthusiastically been writing books for over 15 years.

Books & Book Cover

What Bitsy is most proud of now is the interactive prayer book written for moms to do with their kids: Mommy & Me Micro-Moments: Nurturing Faith, Sharing Laughs. It captures “micro-moments” of time that would otherwise be missed or forgotten. The books end up as a keepsake when done. Even those not fans of prayers can enjoy the the activities and have a laugh in the process.

Bitsy’s mostly a children’s book writer, though. As of now, 25 of the 30 children’s books she’s written are out. All but one are non-fiction. And none are boring! Included in that tally are a handful of picture books ghostwritten for fancy people, but we can’t tell you who they are (wish we could–they are great people). The books range from picture books to chapter book series to award-winning YA. bitsykemper.com/books

In addition, she has professionally and developmentally edited ~50 published books, both in kidlit and grown-up arena.
